Chemistry
Chemistry is a weird subject.
There’s letters
And numbers
And confusion
And sometimes shit blows up in your face.
Loving you is like chemistry.
I got a C- in chemistry.
And that’s only because I cheated off nick
Who cheated off Allison,
Who really didn’t want us to copy her work.
But chemistry isn’t fair.
Loving you is like chemistry.
Fluorine
Uranium
Carbon
Potassium
You tell me I shouldn’t be such an electron.
That only moles hide as long as I do.
what elements are we made from?
I apologize for not being your noble gas.
I am always more chlorine.
You were always more krypton
Chemistry is a weird subject.
There’s letters
And numbers
And confusion
And sometimes shit blows up in your face.
Loving you is like chemistry.
I don’t know shit about chemistry
When I Die
When I die, wear green to my funeral.
Not as a metaphor for growth or anything.
But because it’s my favorite color.
Remember me at face value.
The triumphs and short comings,
Take them as they were, do not make them anything else.
Do not exaggerate my legacy. Let it speak for itself.
Good or bad
When I die.
When I die, don’t mourn.
Save the tears for someone who needs them.
I won’t: I’ll be dead.
Same for the flowers, I don’t understand flowers anyway.
They’re pretty... and then they die.
On second thought, bring me the flowers.
Tell jokes.
Do a keg stand. Party. Take shot, enjoy life
Remember how short it is.
Embrace your loved ones while they can still appreciate it.
When I die.
Don’t bury me in an expensive suit or box.
Donate that money, adopt a pet.
Use it to better someone’s life. Don’t focus on my death.
When I die.
Remember me fondly. On my tombstone write,
“He tried”
